Dr Noorul Fatha As'artMember, Nominating Committee / Public Health Physician in MOH
Dr Noorul Fatha As'art has been a director of the SMA Charity Fund since 2015.
Dr. Noorul is a Senior Assistant Director in Non-Communicable Diseases Branch, Ministry of Health (MOH) with an extensive experience in health promotion and disease prevention, health policy formulation, with a focus on regulatory policy and legislation.
Dr. Noorul has been a council member of the Singapore Medical Association since 2010 and serves as its Vice-Chairperson in Ethics Committee and serves as a member of the Board of Governance with Singapore Polytechnic.
Dr. Noorul previously serves as the Hon Gen Sec of Singapore Council of Women’s Organisation (2012-2014), representing Singapore Muslim Women’s Association. Dr. Noorul's current portfolios include overseeing the tobacco control; maternal, child and adolescent health; and obesity, nutrition and physical activity teams. She acts as team coordinator for international health co-operation and has represented Singapore’s interests at international platforms and her past experiences include clinical services planning, regulatory policy and legislation, manpower standards and development, and communicable diseases policy.
Dr. Noorul holds a Bachelor of Medicine from the National University of Singapore, as well as a Master of Public Health, History and Ethics of Public Health, Commendation for Thesis Excellence from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.
